About the Author
Nancy Jane, as she is known to her friends and neighbors, could be your “Nana.” She is a local artist who spent the last fifty years painting, sculpting, and writing poetry and this series of novels. Born in Chicago, Illinois to Danish parents, she is rumored to have a splash of ancient royal Danish blood. Nancy Jane now lives in a subdivision that until recently was her farm in Pennsylvania. Her English gardens, Koi pond, and chattering creek still surround the property. Over the years, Nancy Jane raised four boys and many more dogs and cats. Recently widowed, Nancy Jane is putting the finishing touches on this series of four contemporary fantasy books geared toward a youthful audience. Nancy Jane is known for her quick mind, her kindness toward others, and her affection for exceptional immigrant Danish Elves.

Travel to the magiccal world of Anne Katrine
“This is a great book to bring back childhood memories of secrets, magic, and adventure. If you stay up late and read it in the dark with a flashlight, you will magically be 11 years old again, like Anne. Or perhaps, find a young one to read it to with great drama and incite their love of reading. A wonderful gift for a 9 to 14 year old.”
I was so taken with this magical book and its thoughtful heroine, Anna Katrine. She faces a lot of adversity but finds a world of excitement and friendship in a pair of Danish elves. I look forward to reading the next books in this series. A well-written and entertaining read for readers of all ages!
I thoroughly enjoyed The Very Small Adventures of Anne Katrine! The young female protagonist is both brave and smart. It was fun to learn a bit about Danish culture and myth, as well as some Pennsylvania specific information. I’m excited to see where the next book takes Anne Katrine.
